1 Scope

GB 43066-2023 is the Chinese national standard on safety technique requirements for passive flameproof facilities of coal mine, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 8 September 2023 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 April 2024. Classification: ICS 13.100, CCS D09. This document stipulates the general requirements for passive explosion-proof facilities used underground in coal mines, installation location and location, shed area parameter settings, installation methods, usage use and maintenance. This document is applicable to the installation and use of explosion-proof water sheds and explosion-proof rock powder sheds in underground coal mine tunnels.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Underground in coal mines, facilities that use combustible gas and coal dust explosion shock waves as power to isolate the propagation of flames from combustible gas and coal dust explosions.

Note. It mainly includes explosion-proof water shed and explosion-proof rock powder shed.

Note. Explosion-proof water sheds include explosion-proof water tank sheds and explosion-proof water bag sheds.

3.4 It is used to protect the mining area and is installed in the explosion-proof shed in the mining area.

3.5 Explosion-proof water sheds installed centrally in tunnels.

Note. The distance between rows is 1m~3m, and the length of the shed is not less than 24m.

3.6 Explosion-proof water sheds installed dispersedly in the tunnel.

Note. Each shed group consists of at least two rows of explosion-proof water tanks/water bags. The spacing between shed groups is 10m~30m, and the length of the shed area is not less than.200m.
