Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required.

This document replaces GB/T 20554-2006 "Kelp". Compared with GB/T 20554-2006, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, in addition, the main technical changes are as follows.

The scientific name and classification have been changed (see Chapters 1 and 4, Chapters 1 and 2 of the 2006 edition); -the external form has been changed (see 5.1, 3.1 of the 2006 edition); -Changed cytogenetic characteristics (see Chapter 7, 5.1 of the 2006 edition); -Modified molecular genetic characteristics (see Chapter 8, 5.2 of the 2006 edition); -the determination rules have been changed (see Chapter 10, 6.4 of the 2006 edition). -

1 Scope

This document specifies the kelp [Saccharina japonica (Areschoug) CELane, C.Mayes, Druehl ders, 2006], the scientific name and classification, main morphological and structural characteristics, reproductive characteristics, cytogenetic characteristics and molecular genetic characteristics, and described the corresponding detection method and the judgment rules are also specified.

This document applies to the detection and identification of kelp germplasm.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

sporophyte

Algae with diploid chromosomes during the life cycle of kelp.

Note. Sporangium is formed and spores are released when mature.

gametophyte

The algae with haploid chromosomes formed by the germination of embryospores during the life cycle of kelp.

Note. Divided into female gametophyte and male gametophyte.

Length of body

The total length of the sporophyte is the sum of the lengths of the rhizoid, petiole and leaves.

Width of body

Width of the widest part of the sporophyte leaf blade.
