Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 1919-2014 "Industrial Potassium Hydroxide". Compared with GB/T 1919-2014, except for structural adjustment and editorial in addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Delete the GM category of industrial potassium hydroxide produced by the diaphragm method (see Chapter 4 of the 2014 edition);
b) Changed solid type III specifications (see Chapter 5, Chapter 4 of the 2014 edition);
c) The indicators of iron (Fe), potassium carbonate (K2CO3), and chloride (calculated as Cl) have been changed (see 6.2, 5.2 of the 2014 version);
d) Added items, indicators and test methods for nickel (Ni) and heavy metals (calculated as Pb) (see 6.2, 7.9, and 7.10);
e) Deleted the sulfate (calculated as SO4) items, indicators and test methods (see 5.2 and 6.5 of the 2014 edition);
f) The potentiometric titration method for determination of chloride content was added and set as the arbitration method (see 7.4.1);
g) Delete the "Safety" chapter (see Chapter 10 of the 2014 edition).
