Scope

GB 1886.323-2021 is the English-translated version of 食品安全国家标准食品添加剂花生衣红.

GB 1886.323-2021 is the Chinese national food safety standard for the food additive peanut-skin red, made from peanut skin by water extraction, purification, drying and refining.

It requires the raw material to meet GB/T 1532, then sets the sensory requirements and the physical and chemical indicators the colouring has to meet, each in its own table.

Appendix A carries the inspection method used to check those indicators. The standard is what producers of the colouring and food control laboratories work to when the additive is released or checked on the market. It was issued on 22 February 2021 and has applied since 22 August 2021.
