13.1 TOCD apply sufficient insulation resistance and dielectric strength.
Compliance is checked by inspection and test samples 13.2, 13.3 and 13.4. After aging test is the test of 12.1 and just had Wet test specimens were 12.2 on the test, the sample should remain in a humid chamber (box) or within the sample reaches a predetermined temperature in the room.
13.2 Insulation resistance test under consideration.
13.3 Each sample will be buried in a diameter of 1.0mm ~ 1.5mm pile of lead balls, or wrapped in metal foil or a metal foil with lead balls as electrode. TOCD should be placed inside the outer electrode to edge up, so that all are buried in the insulating material in the outer electrode. Note, however, may not be metal GB 13140.5-2008/IEC 60998-2-4:2004 Foil pressed into the inner TOCD.
1min AC test voltage is applied between the conductor and the outer electrode. A voltage value by the following formula.
Ut = 4Ui + 1000 (V)
Where.
Ut --- test voltage;
Rated insulation voltage Ui ---.
During the tests, TOCD should insulation breakdown. It does not cause a voltage drop of the glow discharge is negligible.

Ut = 4Ui + 1000 (V)
Umax = 10Ui + 1000 (V) where.
Ut --- test voltage (1min);
Rated insulation voltage Ui ---;
Umax --- maximum voltage.
Test, not flashover occurs between the conductor and the outer electrode.
These tests are also used to verify compliance with the requirements of Chapter 12 and Chapter 17.
