Scope
GB 1312-2007 (Lampholders for tubular fluorescent lamps and starter holders) is available as an English-translated PDF.
GB 1312-2007 — This document specifies the technical and dimensional requirements for sockets and starter sockets for tubular fluorescent lamps Test method for safety and fit in starter mounts.
This document applies to free-standing lampholders and built-in lampholders for tubular fluorescent lamps fitted with the caps shown in Appendix A, Self-contained starter bases for starters conforming to IEC 60155 with a working voltage not exceeding 1000 V rms when operating in current circuits and built-in starter mount.
This document also applies to single-ended tubular fluorescent lamp sockets with integral shell and dome, similar to Edison screw sockets (eg G23 and G24 lampholders), further examination in accordance with the following clauses of IEC 60238.9.4, 9.5, 9.6, 10.3, 11.7, 12, 13.2, 13.5, 13.6, 13.7, 14, 16.3, 16.4, 16.5, 16.9.
This document also applies to lampholders integrated with luminaires or intended to be installed inside the appliance, and only includes requirements for lampholders. for all other requirements, such as protection against electric shock in the terminal area, should comply with the standard requirements of the relevant appliance, and be installed in a suitable device first, when tested according to the device's own standards, it is also tested.
Lampholders for use by luminaire manufacturers are not available for retail sale. Under reasonable premise, this document also applies to lamp sockets and starter sockets other than those expressly mentioned above, as well as light source connectors.
This document uses the term "socket" to refer to lamp sockets and starter sockets. When the term "two-pin socket" is used, it also applies to wedge-shaped bases.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
This document replaces GB/T 1312-2007 "Tubular Fluorescent Lamp Holders and Starter Holders". Compared with GB/T 1312-2007, except for the structure in addition to adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added term definitions (see Chapter 3);
--- Increased the limit of the rated power of G5 lampholders in countries where rated power is used instead of rated current (see Chapter 6);
--- Increased the classification of protection against electric shock (see 7.1);
--- Changed the content that should be marked (see 8.1, 7.1 of the 2007 edition);
--- Added the information that should be provided in the manufacturer's catalog or similar information (see 8.2);
--- Added GX5 lamp holder related content (see 9.2);
---Added the content of adding GX5, GU10q, GZ10q, 2GX13 and other types of lamp holders (see Chapter 11);
--- Added the relevant content of the structure (see 11.6, 11.7);
--- Increased the dielectric strength test classification (see 13.3);
--- Added the relevant content of GX5 and W4.3×8.5d lamp sockets (see 15.3);
--- Changed "6.8~8.0 and below (including 8.0)" in Table 2 to " >6.0~8.0" (see 16.1, 15.1 of the 2007 edition);
--- The instructions for use in Table 3 have been added, and the categories of "basic insulation" and "reinforced insulation" have been added to Table 3 and Table 4 (see Chapter 17);
--- Changed the tracking resistance test for non-ceramic materials (see 18.6, 17.6 of the 2007 edition).
This document is equivalent to IEC 60400:2017 "Tubular Fluorescent Lamp Holders and Starter Holders".
The following minimal editorial changes have been made to this document.
---Incorporates the amendments to IEC 60400:2017/AMD1.2020, the clauses involved in these amendments have been adopted on the outside the vertical double line (||) in the margin position is marked;
--- Adjusted the list of normative reference documents according to the citations of the text;
--- Corrected the wrong figure number Figure C.3 and Figure C.4 quoted in 11.2, and revised it to Figure C.1c) and Figure C.1d);
--- Figure 1 increases the explanation of the symbol A.
