GA/T 993-2021Specifications for the setting of road traffic information display device (English PDF)

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GA/T 993-2012 "Specifications for the Installation of Road Traffic Information Display Equipment", and compared with GA/T 993-2012, except for in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Changed the "scope" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2012 edition);

b) Added the term reference for "highway", "highway technical grade" and "urban road" (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.3);

c) The term "fixed road traffic information display equipment" has been added (see 3.5);

d) The term "mobile road traffic information display device" has been added (see 3.6);

e) Changed the "General Requirements" in the "Setting Requirements" (see Chapter 4, 4.1 of the 2012 edition);

f) Deleted the requirement of "fixed traffic information display device" in the "setting requirements" (see 4.2 of the 2012 edition);

g) The requirement of "Highway" in "Setting Requirements" has been added (see 5.1);

h) The requirement of "ordinary road" in the "setting requirements" has been added (see 5.2);

i) The requirement of "Urban Expressway" in "Setting Requirements" has been added (see 5.3);

j) The requirement of "other roads in the city" in the "setting requirements" has been added (see 5.4);

k) The requirements of "Special Application Scenarios" in "Setting Requirements" have been added (see 5.5);

l) The requirements of "Mobile Display Device" in "Setting Requirements" are changed (see 5.6, 4.3 in 2012 edition);

m) Added "Installation Requirements" (see Chapter 6);

n) Added "Requirements for Construction, Acceptance and Operation and Maintenance" (see Chapter 7);

o) The requirement of "display information" has been deleted (see Chapter 5 of the 2012 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the general requirements, installation, and construction, acceptance and operation and maintenance requirements of road traffic information display equipment.

This document is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of road traffic information display equipment.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Highway

A road that connects cities, villages, and industrial and mining bases, and is mainly used for cars and has certain technical conditions and facilities.
