This standard specifies the requirements for alarm transmission systems using dedicated alarm transmission lines as a supplement to the provisions of GA/T 600.1-2006 and GA/T 600.2-2006. It includes a dedicated connection that provides signal continuity between the alarm system and the display of alarm system information at the alarm reception center. The alarm transmission system may utilize a DC line pair, an audio signal, a communication line or a data repeater, and may also include a multiplexer or an information processor. This standard of the GA/T 600 can also be applied to alarm transmission systems where signals are superimposed on other services, such as general user telephone lines from a monitored house to a local exchange, a cable television or a power distribution network.
