1 Scope

This section specifies the extraction principles, extraction requirements, and precautions for the inspection samples of forensic scientific seals.

This section applies to the extraction of seals and seals in the field of forensic science.

3.1 The sample of the stamp and seal should be the original.

3.2 The sample extracted by the appraiser after the inspection of the original by photocopying or scanning can be regarded as the original extraction.

3.3 Extraction of experimental samples.

a) Samples with conditions close to the stamping pressure, stamping angle, gaskets, pads, and ink (oil) of the test materials;

b) The test sample paper should be consistent with the test paper as much as possible.

3.4 When extracting experimental samples, the material of the stamp should be recorded to understand the number of engravings, the replacement time, whether to fill the ink and the filling time, etc.

4 Notes

4.1 The samples of the stamps and seals should be kept in their original appearance, and should not be used in destructive fixing methods such as pasting, plastic sealing, folding, and binding.

Prevent contamination and confusion at all times.

4.2 Sample extraction should be recorded and identified, and sealed with suitable packaging bags (boxes).

4.3 Extraction records should include (but not limited to) information such as who was extracted and when it was extracted.

4.4 If conditions permit, the sample extraction process can be fixed by taking photos (videos).
