This part is part 7 of DZ/T 0276.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces DY-94 "Testing procedures for physical and mechanical properties of rocks 7. Gloss test". This part is compared with DY-94, the main technology the changes are as follows.

---Modified the number of test pieces;

--- Modified the gloss test record sheet.

This part is proposed by the Ministry of Land and Resources of the People's Republic of China.

This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Land Resources Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC93).

1 Scope

This part of DZ/T 0276 specifies test methods for determining the gloss of rock.

This section applies to rock gloss tests in rock physical and mechanical tests.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Glossiness

The ability of a rock sample to reflect light after polishing.

3 Principle

After the rock was polished, its gloss was measured using a gloss meter.

4 Instruments

4.1 Stone cutting machine, stone grinding machine, polishing machine.

4.2 Photoelectric gloss meter.

5 Sample

5.1 The number of samples should be 5, the sample size is 100mm × 70mm × 20mm, and the allowable variation range of each side is 2mm.

5.2 The coolant used for the preparation of the sample shall be pure water and no oil shall be used.

5.3 After cutting the sample into shape by using a stone cutter, the machine is roughened and finely ground by a grinder, and a 100 mm × 70 mm side is polished with a polishing machine.

5.4 The edges and corners of the polished surface of the sample shall be complete. There shall be no sand holes and obvious scratches with a diameter greater than 1 mm on the polished surface.

6 Test steps

6.1 Photoelectric gloss meter should be preheated for 15min~30min before use.

6.2 Clean the standard plate of the photoelectric gloss meter with lens paper, place the probe on the standard board, and calibrate the instrument calibration value.

6.3 Wipe the smooth surface of the sample with lens paper, place the probe on the glossy surface of the sample, and wait for the deflection pointer on the reader to stabilize and read.

6.4 Each sample shall be measured twice, and the difference shall not exceed 2; the average value shall be taken as the measured value of the sample.

6.5 Repeat steps 6.3 to 6.4 to measure several other samples.
