This part is part 25 of DZ/T 0276.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces DY-94 "Testing procedures for physical and mechanical properties of rock 21. Shear strength test". This part is compared with DY-94, the main the technical changes are as follows.

--- Added two chapters of "terms and definitions" and "principles";

--- Increased the configuration requirements for castables during sample preparation in direct shear tests;

--- Increased the grading requirements for applying shear loads in direct shear tests;

--- Increased the accuracy requirements of the direct shear test calculation results;

--- Removed the portable shear test;

---Modified the press in the variable angle board test equipment and changed to the material testing machine;

--- Modified the medium shear test and changed it to the direct shear test;

--- Revised the description of the direct shear test, which is divided into two parts. the weak structural surface shear test and the rock sample direct shear test;

--- Revised the rock shear strength test record sheet.

Rock physics and mechanics properties test procedures Part 25. Rock shear strength test

1 Scope

This part of DZ/T 0276 specifies test methods for determining the shear strength of rock.

This section applies to the rock shear strength test in rock physical and mechanical properties test.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Shear strength the maximum stress that a rock specimen can withstand during shear failure.

3 Principle

Applying different axial loads to several rock specimens, applying horizontal shear force by the flat push method until the specimen is destroyed, and obtaining the shear resistance of the rock.

Intensity, and the internal friction angle phi and cohesion C of the shear strength parameters of the rock sample are calculated according to the Morcolon theory.

4 Instruments

4.1 Stone cutting machine, stone grinding machine.

4.2 Material testing machine. The indication error does not exceed ±1%.

4.3 Variable angle plate shear tester. It is required to adjust 4 to 5 angles in the range of 45°~70° (as shown in Figure 1).
