What this standard covers

This standard applies to the DL 890.450 to 499 series, which collectively define the content and switching mechanisms used to transfer data between control centers and/or between control center components as a whole. The purpose of this International Standard is to define strictly a set of use cases for CIM classes, class attributes, and associated subsets that are necessary to describe state estimates, flows, and other similar applications that generate a grid steady-state solution.
