What this standard covers
This standard specifies the technical requirements for induction protection of overhead power transmission lines during power outage maintenance operations, overhead ground wire operations, adjacent live line operations, live line operations, and induction protection appliances. This standard applies to 110(66)kVdegC1000kV AC transmission lines and degC400kVdegC800kV DC transmission lines (including DC ground electrode lines) in areas with an altitude of 1000m and below. When the altitude is greater than 1000m, the minimum safety distance and minimum effective insulation length in the standard should be corrected according to the altitude factor.
