1 Foreword

CECS 193-2005 was issued by China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization on 25 December 2005 and has been in force since 1 March 2006.

1.0.1 The Specification is formulated with a view to guaranteeing safety, reliability, state-of-art technology and economic feasibility of long distance water transmission pipeline (canal) engineering in design, construction and operation quality.

1.0.2 The Specification is applicable to the design and operation management of raw and clean water transmission pipelines for urban area and industrial & mining enterprises.
