What this standard covers

This standard specifies the methods and requirements for quantifying the carbon footprint of cathode copper products, including the purpose of quantification, scope of quantification, inventory analysis, impact assessment, result interpretation, reporting, and declaration. This standard applies to the quantification of the carbon footprint of cathode copper products produced from copper ore or copper-containing waste. It also applies to the quantification of the carbon footprint of upstream products of cathode copper, common upstream products including: copper ore, copper concentrate, copper matte, blister copper, and anode copper.
